Amazon’s Compensation team is seeking a Senior Compensation Consultant for Corporate Functions to provide strategic compensation support to our fast growing teams. As a Senior Compensation Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering on the compensation needs in Amazon’s global teams through strategic, analytical and consulting services. You will work directly with the HR and Business leadership to build and evolve compensation programs that directly support the business's strategic objectives and provide hands-on assistance related to all areas of compensation analysis.
We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-moving environment and are comfortable dealing with ambiguity. You must have a passion to work with complex data, and be detailed and accurate from start to finish in developing programs and completing projects. The successful candidate will proactively partner with client-facing HR Business Partners and Business leadership to identify and address compensation issues, and evangelize Amazon’s Total Compensation philosophy and strategy.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement strategic compensation programs tailored to specific functional areas
- Conduct comprehensive compensation analysis using advanced data interpretation techniques
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to develop holistic compensation recommendations
- Explore innovative AI integration to enhance compensation processes and insights
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compensation documentation and strategic playbooks
A day in the life
Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic analysis, collaborative problem-solving, and innovative compensation design. You'll dive into complex data sets, craft compelling compensation recommendations, and work closely with HR and business leaders to develop programs that align talent strategy with organizational goals.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in compensation, finance, or consulting
- Demonstrated experience in compensation, finance, or consulting
- Comprehensive understanding of compensation terminology and best practices
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in relevant field
- Advanced Excel skills, including macros and complex data modeling
- Experience with compensation system implementation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
