Position summary:

As an Installer for Fortress Modular Walls, you will be responsible for the on-site installation of modular wall systems in healthcare environments. This position requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Installers must be able to read and interpret construction drawings, handle physical labor, utilize their carpentry skills and maintain a professional demeanor while representing the Fortress brand on job sites.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

+ Install Fortress modular wall systems according to project specifications and installation manuals.

+ Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and installation plans.

+ Safely use hand and power tools to assemble wall panels, doors, frames, and accessories.

+ Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including daily reports and field changes.

+ Communicate effectively with site supervisors, project managers, general contractors, and other trades.

+ Ensure a clean, organized, and safe worksite in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.

+ Troubleshoot installation challenges and assist in on-site problem-solving.

+ Assist with loading, unloading, and inventorying materials as needed.

+ Travel to various project locations, including overnight stays when necessary.

Education & special trainings:

+ High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications & experience:

+ 2+ years of construction, carpentry, or modular installation experience preferred.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of construction tools and techniques.

+ Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to travel as needed.

+ OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented.

Physical & mental requirements:

+ Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work on ladders, and perform physical labor in varying site conditions.

Pay rate will not be below any applicable local minimum wage rates.
