At **VCA West 86th Street Animal Hospital** we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Compensation : $ 16 - $ 20 /hr

Schedule : FT 5/8's Days with rotating Saturdays

VCA West 86th Street Animal Hospital is a three doctor practice offering Primary Care Services.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctor team. Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining detailed medical records.

• Client Communication.

• Filling prescriptions.

• Performing laboratory work and Hands-Free diagnostic imaging.

• Providing compassionate care by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients. Anesthesia monitoring.

• Exam Room Nurse Duties

• Animal Restraint and Handling

• Obtaining diagnostic laboratory samples

• Triage

• Medication administration
