    Required Skills:

    Software Engineer, Product Responsibilities:

    1. Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services.

    2. Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems.

    3. Demonstrate proficiency in programming and software engineering.

    4. Use a scientific approach to solve large, complex problems, leveraging strong understanding of product engineering foundations.

    5. Demonstrating ability to interpret data about products or systems & make recommendations for engineering or product direction based on those insights using a strong foundation in mathematics.

    6. Produce high-quality code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks.

    7. May be assigned to a specific group focused on product or infrastructure.

    8. Work on problems of median to large scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

    9. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

    10. Master internal development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.

    Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field and two years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation

    12. Requires two years of experience in the following:

    13. 1. Coding in at least one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, Java, C#, or Python

    14. 2. Building large-scale server applications in Python, PHP, or Ruby

    15. 3. Relational databases and SQL

    16. 4. Building maintainable and testable code bases including API design and unit testing techniques

    17. 5. Conducting design and code reviews

    18. 6. Preparation, implementation & evaluation of large scale A/B tests

    19. 7. Object-oriented software development

    20. 8. Data structures and algorithms

    21. 9. Building scalable data pipelines

    22. 10. Performance optimization of large systems

    23. 11. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS including file manipulation and simple commands, AND: 12. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM, Emacs, VSCode), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT or Mercurial)

    Public Compensation:

    $182,002/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
