    Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant Team Lead to serve families in multiple counties.

     

    Under the supervision of the Medical Services Practice Manager and the Medical Director, the Medical Assistant Team Lead is responsible for aiding Medical Assistants to manage day-to-day clinical operations in an efficient and effective manner. Work time will be split between performing Medical Assistant Level II responsibilities and team leader functions.

    Job Functions :

    + Coordinate medical and psychiatric services with other mental health professionals both within and outside the organization

    + Provide direct contact, either face-to-face or by phone, and indirect contact via a variety of electronic means or correspondence

    + Provide medication education to consumers about their medication type, indications and common side effects based on pre-written approved guidelines

    + Manages schedules of medical assistants and communicates medical staff deployment throughout the organization to all staff

    + Completes monthly audits

    + Provides ongoing training and technical assistance to promote team-based quality improvement activities in the day-to-day operations of medical services

    Education and/or Experience :

    + Medical assistant certification from a postsecondary medical assisting program

    + Certified in phlebotomy.
