    Summary

    Category Management

     

    + Review category sales data and insights for potential adds/deletes with BM (Category Reviews). Collaborate with Daymon resources to gather syndicated/proprietary data, trends and prepare presentations. Include Kroger future initiatives in desk review. Once decisions are made review test plan-o-gram with the BM.

     

    Promotional Planning

     

    + Key contracts for promotions into the HT System

    + Collaborate with BM on joint business planning (JBP) which is the foundation of merchandising's consumer centric promotional plan. For each period, the ABM will help create an ad/display plan based off the objectives in the 6-month plan. The JBP is created for all ads, displays and TPR offers to manage the financial impact of the plan.

    + Proof the online Weekly/Monthly Ad Proofs to align to the Preplan in terms of all information – description, size, promotional retail, savings, etc.

    + Create Force Out sheets for needed promotional inventory and review with SBM before entering Forecast into the system.

    + Confirm sufficient product is coming in and will be available for planned displays and major promotions – (verify 2 weeks out)

    + New Item Development

    + Discovery/prospecting for new item opportunities. Utilize Daymon trend wheel and SCO to understand consumer behavior and trends. Managing item transitions, new item development – including new item sheet set up, supplier changes.

    + Complete New Item research tracker

    + Trade shows-Prepare sales and opportunity reviews for efficient recaps during trade show meetings.

    + Create and turn in PIFs for New Item Development including samples once approved.

    + Tracking and communicate new item status.

    + Daymon Reporting – making sure all new items and transitions are sent into DIG (Data Integrity Group), to be added to brokerage reporting. In addition, follow up to make sure that items are being reported.

     

    Business Management

     

    + Help BM with Desk Reporting – sales promotional success/Out of Stock issues and resolutions/ upcoming headwinds - tailwinds

    + Fill out cost change sheets for BM to review. Suggest new retails if appropriate and have reasoning, ie . Researching competitive retails, existing brand retails, considering price ladders and parity.

    + QA-Recalls/complaints- follow up with BM, Supplier, Director of Our Brands and HT QA on customer complaints.

    + Kroger bids-Prepare requested bid information for Kroger RPA (Retail Procurement Alliance Group), and all follow-up needed

    + Create and turn in Transition Forms for items or supplier changes as needed.

    + Support BM with Brokerage Contract Set Up by gathering necessary information from supplier. Template is in the Teams – BM folder.

    + Assist BM with placing POs and revisions when needed.

     

    Supplier Management

     

    + Review sales data, prepare presentation for supplier meetings – review with BM for changes before meeting.

    + Communicate to suppliers forecast for Period Promotions so they can plan production.

    + Help navigate set up of new suppliers in the Harris Teeter system.

    + Communicate to suppliers via e-mail any major wins for Ads/Displays/Promotions – “Pictures, financials, etc.”

    + Help with deduction resolution – research and closure.

    + Provide quarterly reports to suppliers on state of the business with sales, units and promo analysis.

     

    Training and Development

     

    + Yearly goal setting and performance evaluations

    + Training- development and process review

    + Corporate training and yearly compliance training

    Position Summary

    Associate Business Manager collaborates with Business Managers, Senior Leadership and external Clients (suppliers and retailers) to execute and achieve growth objectives. Independent thinker and decision maker.

     

    Job Duty

     

    Managing Client Relationships

     

    + Owning relationships within the retailers Private Label/Own Brand team and understanding the priorities of the Private Label/Own Brand team and the supplier partner

    + Understand all client’s strategies/priorities and be able to leverage and communicate the knowledge

    + Work with supplier partners and retailer on executing new item launches, label updates, and reformulations of product. Ensure all parties stay on track to meet deadlines.

    + Build and maintain business relationships with supplier partners and retailer.

     

    Business Management

     

    + Manages supplier/client sales and revenue

    + Negotiates brokerage rates

    + Contract management

     

    Project Management

     

    + Facilitate and drive projects through the process (work closely with cross functional teams to achieve project milestones within established timeframes)

    + Identify potential risks and solutions

     

    Product Development

     

    + Managing the private label product development process and timeline with the retailer and suppliers from ideation to shelf

    + Influencing suppliers and retailer for actions and decisions that will result in a project meeting deadline

    + Managing the expectations of both our clients and the retailer throughout the product development process when necessary

    + Obtaining new sources of supply for retailer product development

     

    Communication

     

    + Advising the BM for potential road blocks in a project and helping to provide and execute solutions.

    + Work with and support business managers on new business development

    + Can think on your feet, be a problem-solver, and be a self-starter.

    + Stakeholder on progress

    + Proactively communicate with retailer, suppliers, internal team and/or third party teams to ensure objectives are met
