    MISSION / SUMMARY:

    The position of journeyman millwright is to provide skilled trade expertise along with multi-craft work experience to the Board Mill.

    EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

    + Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

    + Journeyman status or greater of millwright trade

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    + Basic fabrication skills

    + Leadership skills

    + Working knowledge of pumps & gearboxes

    + Troubleshoot & maintain power transmission equipment

    + Preferred welding experience

    + Read & understand with practical knowledge mechanical drawings

    + Removal & installation of bearings

    + Hydraulic knowledge

    + Alignment of equipment

    + Rigging skills

    + Papermill experience preferred

    + Strong oral and written communication skills

    + Ability and desire to work in team environment

    SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

    + Per our CBA ability to work multi-schedules

    + Must be able to work rotating weekends.

    + Must be willing and available to work either day shift or 4 crew scheduling.

    + Flexible work schedule to meet demands of current course load.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    + Standing for extended periods.

    + Awkward and/or repetitive movements.

    + Moving or lifting of equipment, materials, and tools up to 50 lbs repeatedly for an 8 hr. shift.

    + Climbing extension ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or movement within

     

    confined areas.

     

    + Work in buildings and areas of fluctuating temperature and weather.

    + Job requires exposure to weather, dirt, grease, fumes and heat.
