    Position Summary

    The Maintenance & Equipment Supervisor is responsible for handling and overseeing the maintenance, repair, and reliability of all manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This is a hands-on role! The Supervisor will be troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and handling preventative maintenace requests with Senior Technician and Technicians. This role ensures production uptime, directs the maintenance team, and leads continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance, safety, and cost efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Supervision

    + Lead, train, and schedule maintenance technicians, assigning daily work orders and long-term projects.

    + Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

    + Review and submit timecards for the team weekly

    + Equipment & Facility Maintenance

    + Responsible for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment, tools, and facility systems.

    + Troubleshooting issues on the production floor.

    + Working on the any and all equipment issues hands on.

    + Ensure all machinery and utilities (HVAC, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are reliable and meet production requirements.

    + Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to minimize downtime.

    + Operational Support

    + Partner with production supervisors and engineering to address equipment issues quickly.

    + Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

    + Coordinate vendor and contractor support for specialized repairs.

    + Compliance & Safety

    + Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.

    + Enforce lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and other safety programs.

    + Maintain documentation of equipment inspections, repairs, and service records.

    + Continuous Improvement

    + Implement reliability-centered maintenance practices and equipment upgrades.

    + Support capital projects and equipment installations.

    + Recommend process and cost improvements to increase equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.

    Qualifications

    + Education & Experience

    + 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

    + Technical Skills

    + Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

    + Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

    + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.

    + Other Skills

    + Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    + Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Physical & Work Environment Requirements

     

    + Ability to work on the production floor, including climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and standing for extended periods.

    + May require off-shift and weekend availability to respond to critical equipment issues.

    + Work is performed in a Production environment

    + May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Ability to stand or sit for a prolonged period of time

    + Visual functions being those of near vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

    + Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with leadership & clients

    + Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or operate equipment

    + Low exposure to physical risk
