    Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The purpose of the Evaluation Specialist is to provide support to the organization in using data to effectively demonstrate impact, drive decisions, and promote continuous improvement, all while centering

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Master’s degree in Program Evaluation, Applied Research, Public Health, Social Work or other human service field, or the equivalent in work experience required.

    • Minimum one year of experience working in a human service field.

    • Minimum of three years of work experience related to data analysis and/or program evaluation.

    • Experience practicing evaluation in a nonprofit, government, or university setting preferred.

    • Experience working with education or behavioral health data and reporting required.

    • Experience working with statistical software such as R preferred.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead and project manage evaluation activities from scoping to dissemination, including stakeholder partnership throughout evaluation cycle

    • Management of employee and client satisfaction surveys

    • Logic modeling

    • Measurement/data collection planning and oversight

    • Needs assessments

    • Survey/assessment creation

    • Focus groups, key informant interviews

    • Quantitative and qualitative data analysis including regression analysis, correlation testing

    • Data interpretation and facilitating data interpretation

    • Data visualization

    • Output and outcome reporting

    • Communicating and reporting evaluation results

    • Facilitating quality improvement

    • Process development and improvement

    • Research and grant support

    • Mentor and onboard newer evaluators

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

    • Excellent critical and strategic thinking skills.

    • Effective communicator, verbal and written.

    • Ability to build and sustain collaborative work across divisions.

    • Experience in participatory evaluation methods.

    • Knowledge of program evaluation theory and methodology such as evaluation planning, evaluation design, data collection methods, statistics and communicating reporting results.

    LICENSING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    Valid driver’s license and / or reliable transportation.
