    Job Description

    EBAD seeks a capable individual for the position of Test Engineer, reporting to the Test Engineering Lead. The position is located in Simsbury, CT.

    Responsibilities:

    The Test Engineer provides support for environmental and functional testing of EBAD products, test lab capability growth, and technical problem solving in the following areas:

    + Test Process Documentation

    + Scope & Cost Estimating

    + Program Scheduling

    + Requirements Evaluation

    + Data Interpretation

    + Report Writing

    + Test Method Development

    + Design & Procurement

    + Equipment Selection

    + Continuous Improvement

    + Troubleshooting

    + Training

    Requirements:

    The candidate shall have an AS/BS in an engineering discipline and a minimum of 2 years’ applicable experience.

     

    Non-degreed candidates will be considered if they have a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in a test lab environment.

    Skills:

    + Strong Mechanical Aptitude

    + Technical Problem Solving

    + Written and Verbal Communication Skills

    + Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration

    + Microsoft Office Programs

    Desired Skills:

    + Familiarity with Data Acquisition & Software (LabVIEW, Vibration Research)

    + Mechanical Design (SolidWorks) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

    + Familiarity with ANSYS Workbench

    Preferred Background Knowledge:

    + Environmental Testing (Climatics, Dynamics, etc.)

    + Instrumentation (Accelerometers, Signal Conditioners, Thermocouples, etc.)

    + Explosive Materials and/or Ordnance Devices
