Hiring range: $40.49-$51.73
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
+ Serve as a clinical expert and mentor for nursing staff. Provding guidance and ensuring competency in specific patient population practices.
+ Supervise and evaluate patient care activities to ensure adherence to best practices and protocols.
+ Develop and implement a structured preceptorship program for new nurses. Assign preceptors and ensure they are adequately prepared to provide guidance and support. Monitor the progress of preceptees, offering additional support and resources as needed.
+ Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. Implement and monitor compliance with healthcare policies, procedures, and safety standards to maintain high-quality patient care.
+ Act as a liasion between different health disciplines, communicating important information, and coordinating care.
+ Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and collaboration to ensure comprehensive patient care and planning.
+ Manage the allocation and utilization of resources and equipment to optimize patient care and operation efficiency.
+ Participate in the development and evaluation of nursing practices and protocols to improve patient outcomes.
+ Act as a primary responder to medical emergency activations within care areas, coordinating with other healthcare professionals as necessary.

Education, Training & Experience:
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, masters degree in nursing or related field preferred.
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical, critical care or Emergency Department setting; prior leadership or resource nurse experience preferred.
Certifications/ Licensure:
+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of New York.
+ Current National Certification in Med- Surg Nursing, Critical Care or Emergency Nursing, or obtained within 12 months.
+ Current ACLS certification
+ Current PALS certification for Emergency Department and Critical Care roles.
