Department of Environmental Quality is looking to hire a Wastewater State Revolving Fund Professional Engineer to join our team in the WPCSRF Section of the Water Quality Division. The SRF Professional Engineer is responsible for engineering review and analysis to determine whether public wastewater facilities are constructed and operated in compliance with statutes, policies and regulations. The position works with facilities and provides engineering project management for a variety of technically complex projects. The position will complete assessments for wastewater system planning, design, capacity, construction management, operations, maintenance and financing to determine if the facilities are providing optimal levels of performance. This position acts as engineering liaison for the Department to the public and municipalities on matters associated with wastewater system engineering plan documents, design standards, processes, products, operations and policies. The SRF Professional Engineer position includes a career ladder for professional development and pay progression. This position may be eligible for occasional telework. Minimum requirements include: Bachelor's degree in environmental and/or civil engineering, or a related field. Licensed professional engineer as required by 37-67-301, MCA, and the Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Education and experience requirements as described by 37-67-323, MCA. Preferred related work experience in permitting, design, or review of engineering plans and specifications for land or site development, and construction management. Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
