As a Bank Oversight Analyst, you will play a critical role in Vanguard’s global bank oversight function, with a strong focus on due diligence. You will coordinate the end-to-end review process for SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports, ensuring timely and thorough evaluations that support audit readiness and risk mitigation. This role requires collaboration across multiple internal teams and external banking partners, offering broad exposure to Vanguard’s operational landscape and how our banking partners interact with our business processes.

Responsibilities

+ Runs the SOC 1 and SOC 2 review process for all global banking relationships managed through the Bank Strategy & Relations Group.

+ Assists business partners and risk partners with their review and interpretation of the existing control mapping as well as the interpretations of complementary user entity controls, control exceptions, and complementary subservice organizations controls.

+ Communicates program status and issues clearly to collaborators, including leaders, team members, and senior managers.

+ Builds and maintains effective relationships. Proactively fosters communication between internal and external project collaborators. Influences key decisions across partner groups.

+ Proactively identifies, manages, and mitigates risks and any related SOC 1 and SOC 2 issues. Communicates' solutions on key issues or projects to management and partners to obtain their input and buy-in as appropriate.

+ Assists with global due diligence program to ensure oversight controls are consistent with due diligence questions, responses, and conclusions.

+ Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ Minimum of three years related work experience. Financial Services or function-specific experience preferred.

+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

+ Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and drive outcomes.

+ Audit experience at a Big 4 firm or similar public accounting background, particularly with SOC reporting or internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) strongly preferred.
