Job Title: Manager, Centralized Diet Office & Menu Software Department: Food & Nutrition Location: Riedman Campus Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule: Monday- Friday 8AM-4:30:PM
SUMMARY:
The Manager, Centralized Diet Office & Menu Software is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and operational oversight of all activities related to patient meal ordering, menu management and dietary data integrity. This role ensures the accurate implementation and maintenance of the menu software system, supporting nutritional compliance, patient satisfaction, and dietary requirements. Reporting to the Director, Clinical Nutrition, this manager collaborates closely with clinical nutrition staff, food services operations, IT and patient care teams to maintain up-to-date data, enforce therapeutic diet guidelines and streamline workflow within the centralized diet office. Additionally the manager ensures staff are properly trained, systems are optimized, and processes align with regulatory standards and organizational goals. The manager also plays a key role in overseeing and supporting the Centralized Diet Office associates, ensuring adequate training, efficient workflows and consistent performance aligned with departmental standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Provide direct management and oversight for the centralized diet office, ensuring efficient, accurate patient meal ordering and diet compliance.
+ Manage the menu software system, including maintenance, data integrity, updates and troubleshooting.
+ Collaborate with the Supervisor, Centralized Diet Office to performance manage, schedule, and support diet office associates.
+ Acts as a liaison between Food Services and all other departments with respect to patient meals, diet orders, and floor stock.
+ Develop and conduct staff training on system usage, customer service, and nutritional standards.
+ Coordinate with clinical nutrition team and IT to ensure accurate data integration with EMR system.
+ Adjust and maintain patient menus as needed.
+ Serve as a point of contact for technical issues and workflow improvements related to meal service and software systems.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality.
+ Ability to multi task and utilize multiple software programs at the same time
+ Conduct staff meetings and in-service trainings.
+ Perform other duties as assigned within the department.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Interpersonal and leadership skills to direct Centralized Diet Office staff
+ Strong customer service skills and the ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy.
+ Strong communication skills required; will need to effectively communicate with clinical, technical and front-line staff across departments.
+ Fosters a team environment and works constructively with the Supervisors and Directors
+ Experience with Microsoft applications (outlook, teams, etc.), Genesys, Computrition•
+ Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field preferred.
+ Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) preferred.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of verifiable work experience
+ At least one year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE:
$60,500.00 - $70,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
