We are currently seeking a hands-on leader with sheet metal fabrication experience to join our growing team. This Sheet Metal Fabrication Lead position helps oversee daily operations and has a key role in maintaining production flow, ensuring quality standards, and supporting a team of skilled operators.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee and support a team of sheet metal operators, including:

+ 1 Shear Operator

+ 1 Laser Operator

+ 3 Folding Operators

+ Follow and execute production schedules as directed by supervisors.

+ Approve and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet drawing specifications.

+ Assist operators with production needs and troubleshooting.

+ Operate machinery (e.g., press brake) as needed to support production.

+ Handle materials and operate a forklift for movement and staging.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

+ Communicate effectively with the Fabrication Supervisor regarding equipment, part quality, and personnel issues.

+ Maintain Hour-by-Hour production charts.

+ Assist in training and mentoring machine operators.

+ Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives and investigations. Comply with all safety procedures.

+ Participate in clean-up responsibilities and maintain daily good housekeeping practices according to 5S procedures.

+ Perform other duties and tasks assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

+ 3-5+ years of experience in a Sheet Metal or Fabrication environment.

+ 3-5+ years of blueprint reading experience.

+ 3-10 years of hands-on experience operating sheet metal equipment, including:

+ Mechanical or Hydraulic Shear

+ Press Brake (ideal)

+ Punch Press

+ CO₂ or Fiber Laser

+ Forklift

+ Strong organizational and communication skills.

+ Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications.

+ Ability to use measurement tools (squares, tape measure, protractor, calipers).

Desired Qualifications:

+ Bilingual in Spanish.

+ Experience with CNC programming (offline and online).

+ Strong time management and leadership skills.

+ Experience with machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Familiarity with various sheet materials (aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized).

+ Experience working in a collaborative environment promoting a teamwork mentality.
