Systems Engineer – Remote | $110,000–$120,000

About the Role

Ultimate LLC is seeking a **Systems Engineer** with deep expertise in material handling systems layout and design. In this role, you’ll transform customer goals into functional, efficient equipment layouts that enhance warehouse and processing operations. You’ll be a key contributor to our Sales and Pre-Contract team, helping build strong relationships with clients through innovative, technically sound solutions.

Responsibilities

+ Lead the development of material handling concepts

+ Translate concepts into detailed, functional layouts

+ Select equipment types that optimize performance and output

+ Analyze throughput capabilities and size equipment appropriately

+ Develop equipment lists and pricing estimates

+ Compare layout options to identify the most effective solution

+ Present findings to internal teams and stakeholders

+ Collaborate with internal teams to support proposal development and execution

Qualifications

+ 10+ years of experience in material handling system design

+ Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred)

+ Proficiency in AutoDesk/AutoCAD drafting software

+ Experience with OEM software drawing packages

+ Deep knowledge of various material handling equipment

+ Experience with system simulation tools

+ Proven ability to lead pricing estimation and design/sales presentations

+ Full lifecycle project experience—from concept to implementation

+ Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking

+ Excellent collaboration and communication skills
