The Career Center is part of the Division of Student Affairs with strong and broad-reaching relationships and responsibilities throughout campus, including the academic colleges. Divided into three units (Career Education; Employer Relations; and Operations), the Career Center not only provides career-related-advising and -services to students, it fills many additional functions critical to the success of the university and students, including, but not limited to, campus-wide career fair coordination and job/internship postings, employer relations, institutional career outcome reporting, and student employee development leadership. The Career Center is responsible to a variety of internal and external stakeholders and leverages those relationships to help students investigate the many available professional opportunities with special consideration for finding paths that meet their skills, goals, values, and unique background experiences.

The Walter Scott Jr. College of Engineering ( WSCOE ) at Colorado State University is a dynamic and diverse college comprising approximately 170 faculty, 300 postdoctoral scholars and research scientists, 95 academic and administrative staff, 2,500 undergraduate students, and 1,050 graduate students. The College is home to four academic departments serving both graduate and undergraduate students, two departments with graduate-only programs, two interdisciplinary degree-granting programs, and a federal cooperative research institute. WSCOE prides itself on its “hands-on” experiential approach to engineering education, offering extensive laboratory and team-based coursework alongside research opportunities. A significant focus is placed on the success of undergraduate students.

The Engineering Success Center within the Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering provides support and resources to current and prospective engineering undergraduate students. This unit is responsible for undergraduate recruiting efforts, retention initiatives, academic advising, access initiatives, career support services, administering scholarships, and coordinating WSCOE events. The Engineering Success Center is the first point of contact for many incoming students and their families.
