    The opportunity

     

    Delaware North's Patina Group is hiring full-time Banquet Servers to join our team at Hudson Yards in New York, New York. As a Banquet Server, you will provide outstanding customer service while serving food and beverage products in a banquet setting, ensuring that Hudson Yards guests' needs are being met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner. The ideal Banquet Server candidate will be friendly, positive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Please note this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

    Pay

    $22.00 - $24.00 / hour

    What will you do?

     

    + Sets up tables for the function in accordance with the banquet event order

    + Accurately transports food and beverages to guests promptly

    + Performs necessary tasks to service guests, including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing dirty dishes

    + Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.

    + Monitors guest needs continually, ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints

    + Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable)

    + Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members

    + Breaks down the event according to company procedures

    More about you

    + Must be 18 or older

    + Minimum of 3 months' previous experience in food and beverage service preferred

    + Excellent guest service skills

    + Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

    + Strong communication skills, including listening skills, and the ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly

    + No high school diploma or GED required

    Physical requirements

    + Ability to stand or walk, including up and down stairs, for the entire length of the shift

    + Ability to lift to 35 pounds

    + Mobility to maneuver between tables
