    Position Summary: The Specialist of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) will work with the Company’s human resource software solution that maintains, manages and processes detailed crew member information and human resource related policies and procedures. This role is responsible for processing crew member data, maintaining the HR systems and software, creating custom reports and assisting with various HR functions as needed. This individual will work collaboratively with departments including but not limited to IT and other partners within Human Resources. This position will report directly to the HRIS Manager.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Maintains optimal function of the human resource information system, which may include database management, network support, installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.

    + Maintains internal database files, tables, codes, backup files with integrity and security.

    + Installs, implements, modifies, and upgrades software and applications to meet changing business and technology.

    + Provides technical support and troubleshooting to HR crew members.

    + Collaborates with their Leader to identify the improvements and enhancements needed to existing systems and databases; recommends solutions.

    + Maintains permissions, access, and similar HRIS operations and settings for users.

    + Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.

    + Compiles or assists with development of data reports, summaries, and logs requested by Leadership or HR crew members.

    + Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.

    + Execute internal audits for crew member records including but not limited to time & attendance, payroll, benefits and other crew member data.

    + Assists with the payroll and time & attendance processes as needed.

    + Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications.

    + Performs other duties as required.

    Required Skills / Abilities:

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    + Ability to keep information confidential.

    + Thorough understanding of database construction.

    + Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product (UKG preferred).

    + Knowledge of SQL and Cognos preferred.

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in information technology or human resource management required, or:

    + At least 3 years of database management or related experience.
