The Maintenance Technician is a member of the Technical Services Department and responsible for general maintenance/engineering support for the station under the direction of the Chief Engineer.

+ Assist in maintaining all station broadcast equipment within the facility

+ Responsible for specialty projects and set updates.

+ Running video and network cables within the broadcast facility.

+ Installing, troubleshooting and maintain remote cameras on buildings and tower sites.

+ Assist IT Dept installing and maintaining IT Equipment and infrastructure.

+ Review and maintain system design documents and drawings.

+ Perform routine maintenance on all broadcast equipment at all facility locations.

+ Problem solving/troubleshooting to reduce equipment downtime and maximize system efficiency.

+ Develop audio/video that meet end users’ requirements. Assist in maintaining network connectivity and assisting IT personnel as needed.

+ Generates analysis from concept to completion on projects assigned.

+ Interface with various users, technical services, technicians, and other Engineers to implement, install and debug these systems

+ Responsible for successful completion of new initiatives and operational projects

+ Perform other job-related duties as requested by management

Requirements & Skills:

+ Advanced technical/science degree or related work experience preferred.

+ Experience in painting, electrical and plumbing or other related work experience preferred.

+ Familiar with broadcast audio, video and control systems, video servers, graphics & IT systems.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Proficient with Windows operating systems.

+ Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

+ After hours and holiday work may be necessary.

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs and climbing ladders required.
