Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, day shift
Summary:
+ Functions as a financial liaison to provide a broad range of financial support services to administrative and executive leadership of Lancaster General Health.
+ Leads preparation of Hospital financial budget, monthly analysis of variances to budget, labor performance and departmental financial reporting.
+ Qualified individuals must have the ability with or without reasonable accommodation to perform the following duties:
+ Plan and organize financial reports and presentations for various board and committee meetings.
+ Take lead role in completing special projects requested by leadership.
+ Acts as a finance liaison for all levels of leadership and clinicians to understand and translate financial and labor performance data including interpretation and dissemination of the results. Attends meetings and responding to inquiries.
+ Leads analytical support of department and patient level in the analysis to develop appropriate variance reports that meet the needs of managers, directors and executives. Provides support to departments in understanding budget vs. actual variances.
+ Understands overall goal and the impact that the analysis of data has on driving team performance.
+ Analyze data to determine patterns and develop insight about the greatest opportunities for improvement in organizational key performance indicators KPIs .
+ Acts in a leadership role to prepare the financial budget, including all phases of revenue and expense. Develops time schedule and works with staff and management to meet deadlines. Works with senior financial management to develop financial plans associated with changing hospital programs, services and strategies. Interfaces with managers at all levels to ensure that budget is complete.
+ The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
+ Develop and maintain process for sharing benchmarking results and dashboards.
+ Proactively seeks individual development opportunities and contributes to team development.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or related field
+ Four 4 years of financial analysis experience.
+ Two 2 years of demonstrated experience in data mining of large datasets and the subsequent development of financial and or clinical analyses
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to question freely, and work with all levels of management and clinicians in a professional, confident and knowledgeable manner .
+ Computer literacy and aptitude for word processing, proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPivot, Access and PowerPoint.
+ Proven analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
+ Self-motivated.
+ Exhibits leadership qualities.
+ Flexible with work schedule to accomplish goals.
+ Six 6 years of financial analysis experience.
+ Four 4 years of demonstrated experience in data mining of large datasets and the subsequent development of financial and or clinical analyses.
+ Demonstrated experience with SQL and VBA
+ Minimum three 3 years of experience with reporting tools applications examples are EPSi, EPIC, Crystal Reports .
+ Understanding of healthcare terms and systems.
+ Basic understanding of physician billing
