Our Cardiovascular Data Management Center provides comprehensive and continuous quality improvement information and allows us to compare our patient outcomes to state and national benchmarks. Position Summary: The Regional Director will provide the overall strategic and operational leadership for the Heart & Vascular Institute within the East Region which spans two campuses, covering both inpatient and outpatient services as well as multiple ambulatory locations. The Regional Director is directly accountable for all facets of its operation including managing patient demand and throughput, patient satisfaction, regulatory preparedness, quality improvement, physician satisfaction, employee satisfaction, business development and clinical integration. Key Accountabilities: * Oversees operational budgeting, evaluation of capital needs and purchasing of equipment and oversight of financial performance in partnership with the acute care team and HHC Medical Group * Supports efforts to reduce variations in care, eliminate waste, improve quality and align physicians to ensure access to the highest standard of care * Creates strong physician relationships that support the development and maturation of the Heart & Vascular Institute * Collaborates with physicians to develop and foster engagement and positive work relationships * Partners with HHC Institute Directors, key personnel, hospital administrative teams and physicians to develop strategies, promote operational standards that ensure services are coordinated across HHC Institutes * Facilitates a multidisciplinary approach to care within the institute models * Engages service line leaders, quality, physicians, managed care and supply chain to plan for emerging trends in clinical protocols, technology, reimbursement, medical management and supply utilization * Responsible for the adoption and dissemination of clinical standards and best practices as determined by the institutes * Collaborates with system partners, decision support and IT to develop tracking and reporting mechanisms * Monitors and ensures service line quality such as clinical outcomes and satisfaction * Responsible for transitions of care and handoffs throughout the continuum of care both within the institutes and in the community * Oversees operations in the acute care and ambulatory HVI locations across the East Region * Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration or Business is required. Master’s degree preferred * Five plus years of progressive leadership experience in the healthcare field * Heart & Vascular program management experience preferred * Visible leader with excellent interpersonal communication skills who relates well with all levels of the organization * Highly effective analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills * Demonstrates exceptional communication and engagement skills in working within a healthcare system * Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary program development and management * Expertise in strategic planning and business development * Proven competencies with physician alignment strategies We take great care of careers.
