Position Summary

This position is for a mechanically inclined individual who possesses a positive attitude and desire to continuously improve. This person may perform various duties including but not limited to: material handling including fork truck driving, loading trailers, parts packaging, part inspection, and parts sorting.

Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

+ Maintain clean orderly work area

+ Assure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents

+ Set-up and operate equipment as required

+ Replenish shipping materials like plastic sheets, boxes, cartons, and labeling systems

+ Inspect and monitor the quality of all parts and processes, make adjustments to maintain quality standards

+ Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures

+ Gather, enter into warehouse management system and maintain all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities

+ When necessary, move material by operating forklift or using non-motorized devices

+ Assist other operators as needed

+ All other duties as assigned by your Supervisor

Qualifications-Education/Experience

Required:

+ A high school diploma or GED is basic to the position

+ Ability to use all gages and gaging techniques required

+ Excellent observation skills to prevent major bottlenecks, out-of-quality situations and production line problems

+ Ability to consistently meet production and quality standards

+ Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of all required operator documentation

+ Good communication and teamwork skills

+ Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems

+ Provide written communication as needed with ability to enter data into computer

Preferred:

+ Previous problem solving and troubleshooting skills/experience

+ Formal mechanical or technical training

+ Forklift operation/material-handling experience

+ Experience operating multiple-types of manufacturing equipment
