Summary:

As a Counter Sales Associate you will be challenged and motivated to grow your career. Maintaining current customer satisfaction with service and sales, then generating new sales and business outlined by management’s goals. You must provide professional service with product knowledge, problem solving, and order enhancement. You will also check inbound shipments for accuracy, fill orders for shipping, and facilitate an organized warehouse. Reports to: Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent required

• Associates degree in a business related field or trades industry experience preferred

• 1+ years of Sales and Customer Service experience required

• Electrical Distribution and Construction industry experience a plus

• A highly self-sufficient attitude

• Excellent spatial organizational abilities

• Ability to work independently and with a team completing multi-step processes

• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)

Preferred Qualifications:

Working Conditions:

The Counter Sales position is performed in a wholesale warehouse environment. Employees reqularly interact with customers at the sales counter, over the phone, and via electronic communication. The role requires standing, frequent walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50lbs. Standard hours are from 8am-5pm Mon-Fri. Occasional overtime based on customer demand.

Essential Job Functions:

• Take inbound customer calls and enter online orders, sales registers

• Prepare orders for delivery/will-call, follow shipping and receiving SOP’s, review order accuracy, complete stock transfers

• Timely follow-up with customers on their orders, quotes, and material

• Keep an efficient and organized warehouse

• Ability to sell cost effective alternate material, support management determining customer-pricing

• Receive and forward customer and vendor feedback, actively implementing solutions

• Communicate and aid the inside and outside sales teams

• Maintain an up-to-date extensive knowledge on electrical products and systems

• Spend time familiarizing yourself with other aspects of business such as project management, bids and quotations, purchasing, account receivables, and more

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $19 to $20 hourly.
