Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate construction activities across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, improving performance, driving efficiency, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality construction projects.

Description:

Project Planning & Execution

+ Lead the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects within time and budget.

+ Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to align schedules and deliverables.

+ Oversee resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment.

Operational Oversight

+ Monitor and evaluate overall company operations to improve productivity and reduce costs.

+ Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices.

+ Track project KPIs and report performance to senior management.

Team Leadership & Management

+ Recruit, train, and manage operations staff, site teams, and subcontractors.

+ Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

+ Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

+ Implement quality control standards and supervise compliance at all project sites.

+ Conduct site inspections and risk assessments.

+ Ensure adherence to all regulatory and legal requirements in construction operations.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

+ Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and consultants.

+ Provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and key decisions.

+ Support the business development team in preparing bids and project proposals.

Budget & Cost Control

+ Monitor project budgets and financial forecasts.

+ Approve procurement of construction materials and services.

+ Identify cost-saving opportunities and minimize operational inefficiencies.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).

+ 15+ years of experience in building/vertical construction operations, Preferably in New York City, with at least 5 years in a Senior managerial role.

+ Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects.

+ Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and project management methodologies.

+ Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD,Procore).

+ Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent written and verbal skills
