Position Description
Hiring Range: $66,703.00 - $80,043.60
Hours: Generally 8:30 - 5:00 M–F; some remote work allowed

The Management Analyst provides analytical and operational support to advance the City’s priority initiatives and cross-departmental efforts. This position plays a key role in implementing projects, conducting research, preparing high-quality written materials, and facilitating cross-departmental collaboration. Ideal candidates will bring strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and build relationships across departments. Decision-making involves translating strategic direction into actionable workflows by recommending work goals, selecting approaches to address operational issues, and assisting with the implementation of management objectives. Duties/Responsibilities
+ Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration for high priority special projects.
+ Support the Assistant to the City Manager by coordinating and tracking city-wide projects and tasks, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
+ Conduct program evaluation through benchmarking, policy research, and internal data collection to inform performance improvements and strategic planning.
+ Prepare and format written reports, memos, and visual summaries based on direction from the Assistant to the City Manager.
+ Develop, prepare, and administer budgets including monitoring expenditures, researching and analyzing financial and related data, preparing cost estimates, and making budget recommendations.
+ Track grant opportunities and support/coordinate departments applying for grant opportunities.
+ Prepare Council agenda items, presentations, and internal communications by conducting research and developing background materials.
+ Provide occasional support in responding to community or interdepartmental requests on behalf of the City Manager’s Office.
+ May assist with supervising interns, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration or directly related field
+ Two years of experience in a role involving research, analysis, project management, budgeting, or policy/program support.
Additional Preferred Skills
+ Experience with qualitative and quantitative research
+ Master’s degree in public administration, public policy, or field directly related to assignment
