    Opportunity Overview

Northramp is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager with demonstrated experience supporting DHS-related programs.

This role is primarily onsite in Washington DC. Remote work may be approved up to 80% depending on the client's workload and scheduling needs.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep Agile delivery expertise, proven success in leading cross-functional teams, and hands-on proficiency with JIRA and the broader Atlassian suite. This role requires a confident ability to engage directly with federal stakeholders—translating mission needs into actionable delivery plans while ensuring execution stays tightly aligned with strategic objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

+ Lead Agile project teams to deliver solutions that advance critical mission objectives in the federal insurance and disaster response domain.

+ Develop and maintain project roadmaps, sprint plans, and delivery schedules, balancing policy, customer experience, and technology requirements.

+ Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

+ Utilize JIRA and the Atlassian suite to track progress, manage backlogs, and produce actionable reports and metrics for both leadership and stakeholders.

+ Coordinate across business analysts, technical teams, and policy experts to ensure alignment of deliverables.

+ Monitor project performance, manage risks, and ensure on-time, within-scope delivery.

+ Promote Agile best practices, coach team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

    Required Qualifications

+ Active DHS suitability or ability to obtain.

+ Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.

+ Certification: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.

+ 5+ years of project management experience, including at least 3 years in Agile environments.

+ Experience supporting federal government programs, preferably in insurance, financial services, disaster response, or citizen-facing digital services.

+ Strong working knowledge of JIRA and Atlassian tools.

+ Familiarity with Google Cloud or Cloud Native services.

+ Demonstrated ability to balance policy requirements with customer-facing technology solutions.

+ Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

+ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-visibility, citizen-facing projects.

    Desired Qualifications

+ Atlassian certification (JIRA/Confluence administration or related).

+ Google Cloud Digital Leader or other similar certification.

+ PMP, CSM, SAFe, or other relevant Agile/PM certifications.

+ Familiarity with customer experience (CX) design and human-centered approaches to delivering digital service.

+ Experience with scaled Agile frameworks in federal environments.

    Clearance

Public Trust or equivalent clearance will be required. Secrete clearance or above would be preferred. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
