Position Purpose
Th is position is responsible for driving Vibe's growth through a strong focus on sales performance, actively identifying opportunitie s to generate mortgage business , cultivating strong referral relationships, and meeting or exceeding production goal s . As a trusted advisor, the Mortgage Loan Originator guid es members through the mortgage process with integrity, empathy, and professionalism. By conducting thorough and honest loan applications , th ey ensure each member is well-informed and supported with personalized financial solutions . This role champions exceptional service , both internally and externally , through clear communication, attention to detail, and a commitment t o expanding the credit union's reach and impact.
Essential Duties
+ Actively pursues opportunities to generate new mortgage business through strategic outreach and resource use.
+ Adheres to all Mortgage Compliance and Financial Institution regulatory procedures and policies.
+ Possess knowledge of the entire mortgage process, including familiarity with credit reports, appraisals, titles and title insurance documentation.
+ Interviews, takes applications and processes preliminary documentation on loan requests accurately and thoroughly.
+ Discusses loan alternatives, credit criteria, and interest rates with members.
+ Conveys underwriting findings and recommendations to members.
+ Advising members on loan approval or denial, providing precise and clear explanations for loan denials, counseling declined members on the necessary steps to potentially qualify for a mortgage in the future, and offering guidance on money management and financial matters.
+ Complete weekly follow-up with all loan applications in process.
+ Join community networking group.
+ Professionally cross-sells Vibe Credit Union products and services.
Education/Experience
+ High School graduate or equivalent
+ Three (3) years of related experience
+ NMLS designation
Skills/Abilities
+ Working knowledge of FHA Guidelines
+ Exceptional interper sonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly, build trust, and adapt communication style to a variety of audiences.
+ Strong organizational abilities, demonstrated through consistent attention to detail, document management, and the ability to keep multiple processes aligned and on track .
+ Advanced prioritization and time management skills, with the capacity to manage competing deadlines, maintain focus under pressure, and deliver timely results without compromising quality .
