    Job Title: Full Vehicle Technician Job Description

     

    Join a dynamic team dedicated to supporting the electrification of vehicle builds, service testing, and development during the vehicle development process. This role focuses primarily on electric vehicles, with a small percentage of work involving gas-powered vehicles. As a Full Vehicle Technician, you will engage in full mechanic work, technical tasks, and electrical assignments, contributing to the future of automotive technology.

    Responsibilities

    + Participate in daily team meetings to receive work assignments and discuss progress and roadblocks.

    + Service every part of the vehicle, from front to back, using a ticketing system.

    + Engage in conversations with technicians, mechanics, and engineers to ensure seamless workflow and address any issues.

    + Perform troubleshooting, electrical, and mechanical tasks with a focus on electric vehicles.

    + Conduct spot checks to prevent roadblocks and ensure timely completion of assignments.

    + Record all work notes and maintain accurate documentation using the computer-generated work ticket system.

    Essential Skills

    + 8-10 years of experience in heavy mechanic work.

    + Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and repair.

    + Strong electrical background .

    + Thorough knowledge of complex mechanical and electrical concepts.

    + Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.

    + Good oral and written communication skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 2-year degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.

    + ASE or State Certified Mechanic preferred.

    + Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles is a bonus, training will be provided if needed.

    + Knowledge of engineering math.

    + Analytical ability to solve somewhat complex problems.

    + Exceptional interpersonal skills and high initiative.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is fast-paced, with a lot of interaction with a team of 10 other technicians and engineers. The setting is a busy garage with frequent traffic and collaboration. There is potential for flex hours and an extension of the role. Training on new technologies will be provided, ensuring continuous learning and development in a dynamic field.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Milford, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
