Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in managing full-cycle bookkeeping and financial reporting, particularly within the construction industry. Based in San Antonio, Texas, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain compliance with accounting principles.

• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and timely filing deadlines.

• Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, to provide insights into company performance.

• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise or Premier for all accounting functions and ensure data accuracy across systems.

• Support progressive billing and job costing processes for construction projects, if applicable.

• Maintain organized financial records and assist with year-end closing procedures.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies. Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise or Premier; familiarity with Online versions alone is insufficient.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Proven experience with full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

• Ability to generate detailed financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements.

• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience in the construction or government sector, including progressive billing and job costing, is a plus.
