Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Shakopee, Minnesota. In this contract role, you will play a key part in managing and optimizing financial transactions related to accounts receivable. This position is ideal for someone skilled in handling cash applications, commercial collections, and billing processes within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Handle cash applications, including the timely posting of payments and adjustments to customer accounts.

• Manage commercial collections, proactively addressing overdue accounts and resolving payment issues with clients.

• Prepare and issue invoices while adhering to established billing procedures.

• Monitor and track cash activity to ensure proper allocation and reporting.

• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and improve efficiency in accounts receivable processes.

• Generate regular reports detailing accounts receivable status and key metrics.

• Maintain organized and detailed records of financial transactions and client communications.

• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts receivable function. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in cash applications, billing functions, and commercial collections.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile discrepancies effectively.

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools used for accounts receivable processes.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial transactions.

• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to accounts receivable.
