Description

We are looking for a skilled Sr. Tax Accountant to join our growing client in Goldsboro, North Carolina. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic public accounting environment. The role involves a blend of tax preparation, bookkeeping, and client interaction, with flexibility in hybrid work arrangements after the initial onboarding period.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual and corporate tax returns with accuracy and adherence to regulations.

• Conduct tax planning and research to optimize outcomes for clients.

• Handle bookkeeping and write-up tasks (10-15% of the role)

• Collaborate with an 8-member team to ensure timely and precise service delivery.

• Provide guidance to clients on tax-related matters and maintain strong, detail-oriented relationships.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in preparing individual and corporate tax returns in Public Accounting setting

• Proficiency in using UltraTax and QuickBooks software (or other tax preparation software)

• Strong bookkeeping and write-up skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

• Flexibility to adapt to a hybrid work schedule and seasonal demands.

• Familiarity with current tax laws and regulations.

Must be onsite 2-3 days a week for initial training and then flexibility with at least 1 day a week onsite going forward
