    Job Description: Financial Analyst - Mid Level

     

    Employment Type: Contract | Contract-to-Hire | Project-Based

     

    Compensation: $35 - $50 hourly

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role will play a key part in driving data-driven decision-making by analyzing financial data, forecasting outcomes, and evaluating trends impacting the business. The ideal candidate possesses sharp analytical skills, strong knowledge of financial reporting, and a proactive attitude toward process improvement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Conduct comprehensive analyses of financial statements and reports to provide actionable insights for decision-making.

    + Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic business initiatives.

    + Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends or anomalies that may require further investigation.

    + Collaborate with departmental managers to develop financial strategies that align with organizational goals.

    + Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance in reporting.

    + Evaluate and enhance financial reporting processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

    + Research market trends and economic conditions to assess potential impacts on business performance.

    + Provide support for special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, process improvements, and new business opportunities.

    Requirements

    Skills and Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).

    + 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.

    + Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

    + Strong understanding of financial modeling, variance analysis, and budgeting principles.

    + Excellent communication and presentation skills to share insights and ideas.

    + A collaborative mindset coupled with the ability to work independently.
