Description We are looking for a meticulous Corporate Tax Staff Accountant to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a highly focused services environment, concentrating on corporate tax preparation and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in tax regulations and accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Manage sales tax filings and ensure timely submission of all required documentation.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Record and analyze journal entries to support financial reporting and tax filings.

• Assist in preparing individual tax returns as needed, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and support tax-related projects.

• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risk.

• Contribute to process improvements within the accounting and tax functions.

• Communicate effectively with clients or stakeholders to address tax-related questions and concerns. Requirements • Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations and compliance requirements.

• Experience with sales tax preparation and filings.

• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns.

• Familiarity with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

• Effective communication abilities to collaborate with teams and clients.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in tax software tools, such as Lacerte Tax, is preferred.
