    Job Title: Production Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting production machinery, creating production batches, monitoring equipment, and ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 guidelines. Your role will involve communication with production personnel and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Report to the Production Supervisor.

    + Communicate effectively with production personnel at shift changes.

    + Troubleshoot formulations and production lines, including issues such as line surging and foamy pellets.

    + Operate all production machinery, including extruders, pelletizers, blenders, and feeders.

    + Create production batches per supplied formulation.

    + Monitor and log readings for extrusion equipment and production runs.

    + Maintain clean and safe work areas during shifts.

    + Monitor visual quality test results of finished products.

    + Move materials as required to perform job duties.

    + Perform line cleans between production lots.

    + Support and comply with CPPT Safety Programs.

    + Adhere to ISO 9001 guidelines.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to work independently and efficiently run an extrusion line.

    + 1+ years of experience operating a forklift.

    + 1+ years of experience in extrusion processes.

    + Excellent organizational skills.

    + Attention to detail in mixing and compounding.

    + Reliable transportation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Forklift certification with 2-5 years of experience.

    + Safety background and participation in safety circles.

    + Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.

    + Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.

    + Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.

    + Good organizational and time management skills.

    + Strong math, statistics, and writing skills.

    + Plastics extrusion experience.

    Work Environment

     

    You will work in a warehouse environment with a medium-sized extrusion operation. The warehouse is somewhat climate-controlled, but temperatures can vary from cool in winter to hot in summer. We offer three shifts: 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 2nd shift from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM with a $1.00 shift differential, and 3rd shift from Midnight to 8:30 AM with a $1.00 shift differential. Attire includes steel toe shoes, clean jeans, and weather-appropriate tops, with additional PPE provided.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, Indiana.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
