    Are you passionate about quality and skilled at building strong supplier partnerships? Join GE Appliances as a Supplier Quality Engineer and play a key role in ensuring our Electronics & Controls suppliers deliver top-performing parts—on time and at the right cost. In this role, you’ll be the critical link between our Cost of Quality team and the Sourcing/Supplier Quality Organization, driving initiatives that improve quality, strengthen supplier relationships, and enhance customer satisfaction.

     

    We’re looking for detail-oriented problem-solvers with a background in quality engineering and supplier management who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    How You'll Create Possibilities

    + Act as the primary liaison for Electronics & Controls between the plant-based Cost of Quality (COQ) team and the Sourcing/Supplier Quality Organization.

    + Lead suppliers to consistently deliver high-quality, cost-effective parts on schedule.

    + Drive supplier quality improvement projects that enhance performance in delivery, quality, and cost.

    + Implement corrective actions with underperforming suppliers or qualify alternate sources.

    + Monitor supplier process controls, creating and sustaining effective quality plans.

    + Ensure permanent resolution of issues impacting manufacturing or consumers due to supplier defects.

    + Lead projects tied to supplier changes, process improvements, and material transitions.

    + Partner with suppliers and internal teams on Lean Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve outcomes.

    + Support supplier part failure analysis, ensuring effective containment and corrective action plans.

     

    What You'll Bring to Our Team

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (preferred).

    + 3+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering (appliance industry experience is a plus).

    + Proven foundation in quality control methods, statistical analysis, and problem-solving.

    + Familiarity with ISO and other quality management system standards.

    + Experience with industry regulations preferred.

    + Self-driven, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

    + Flexibility to support off-shift and weekend work when needed.
