The Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business provides leading naval computing infrastructure, network and data distribution and middleware enterprise services, as well as world-class manufacturing and support capabilities.

Job Summary

Set up, maintain and/or repair equipment and/or systems within the facility within area of expertise.

Job Responsibilities

+ Set up, maintain and/or repair equipment and/or systems within the facility within area of expertise

+ Follow maintenance schedule to ensure regular and preventive maintenance work assignments are completed when required

+ Perform service calls, repairs, and equipment installations as directed

+ Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluations, and routine inspections on physical plant systems and equipment as required

+ Maintain an inventory of parts and tools, and keep assigned storage areas clean and organized

+ Follow company and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines in daily work routines and assignments

+ Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures

+ Complete appropriate paperwork in a proper manner for the purchase, stocking, and/or use of all materials, parts, and components required for work order completion

+ Ensure work orders contain appropriate and accurate information before submitting completed work orders

+ May lead less experience employees

+ Recommends cost savings strategies and techniques that will not compromise quality and individual safety

+ Support and communicate the mission, values and culture of the organization

+ Perform other related tasks or special duties as assigned

Qualifications

+ High school or trade school diploma; prefer license in specific specialty with 4+ years of experience

+ Solid working knowledge of building codes, OSHA requirements, and knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures

+ Good oral and written communication skills
