Hours per Week: 37.5

Duration: 36 Weeks

Pay Rate:

+ Local: $70/hr

+ Travel: $55/hr + $20/hr (Lodging & Meal Stipend)

About the Role:

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support students with mild to moderate disabilities in Buellton, CA. Instruction may be delivered in general education or specialized settings, with a focus on individualized support and inclusive learning.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with timelines

+ Conduct assessments and support evaluation processes

+ Provide direct instruction tailored to student goals

+ Collaborate with general educators and related service providers

+ Supervise instructional support staff and students

+ Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality

+ Participate in school activities and maintain professional conduct

+ Communicate regularly with families and school staff

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree

+ California Mild/Moderate Credential

+ Experience in special education preferred

+ CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB clearance and health certificate (as required)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
