Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking two passionate Special Education Teachers to join the team at in Dalles, Oregon. These full-time, in-person roles span both elementary and high school settings, supporting high-needs students with autism and other exceptionalities.

+ Start Date: September 2, 2025

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hrs/week

+ Contract Length: 39 weeks

+ Modality: In-person only

+ Interview Format: Virtual with SPED Director

+ Feedback Timeline: 24–48 hours

Elementary School Position

+ Caseload: 15 students (including non-verbal students with autism)

+ Goal: Transition students toward general education

+ Support: Co-teacher, speech assistant (3x/week), multiple EAs

High School Position

+ Caseload: 35 students across two connected classrooms

+ Support: 4 EAs, including 1:1 for a blind student

+ Schedule: Trimester model with 4 instructional periods + 1 prep

+ Facilitator model—no case management

? Requirements

+ Oregon Teaching License (SPED endorsement preferred)

+ Bachelor’s degree (Master’s a plus)

+ At least 1 year of SPED experience

+ Experience with autism spectrum students

+ CPR, TB, and health clearance as applicable

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Pay: $55–$58/hr depending on experience
