    Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District (Clifton Springs, NY)


    The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for an Assistant Director of Special Programs and Services. The successful candidate will need to:

     

    + Assist with supervision, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Special Education Program/Department, Pre-K through Grade 12;

    + Assist with the facilitation, evaluation, and delivery of the continuum of services for students with disabilities, including in-district and out-of-district;

    + Work collaboratively with the administrative team to coordinate the implementation of curriculum and instruction, professional development, transportation, and scheduling;

    + Chair CPSE/CSE/504 meeting, as needed;

    + Assist with supervision and evaluation of Pupil Support Staff, Related Services Providers, and contracted/itinerant staff;

    + Assist with supervision and evaluation of teachers according to the District’s APPR plan;

    + Assist with McKinney Vento Act and Foster Care responsibilities;

    + Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Job Qualifications

    +

     

    + + School District Administrator or School District Leader Certification

    + NYS Teacher Certification – Special Education, School Psychologist, or School Social Worker

    + Minimum 5 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, School Psychologist, or School Social Worker in New York State

    + Experience with Teacher Evaluation (APPR) and CSE Processes, preferred

    + Fingerprint Clearance
