We are currently seeking a Full-Time Adult Home and Medical Respite Administrator to join our team in Bayport, NY. This leadership role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, organized, and committed to empowering others.
What You'll Do
As the Administrator, you will:
+ Oversee the daily operations of our Adult Home and Medical Respite Programs.
+ Supervise and support a team of Residential Counselors and volunteers.
+ Guide residents in building independent living skills to foster self-sufficiency and confidence.
+ Act as Case Manager and Activities Director, coordinating services and activities for residents.
+ Manage resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
+ Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of care.
+ Build strong community connections and represent Mercy Haven positively.
+ Uphold and protect residents' rights, including providing a system for feedback and grievances.
+ Respond to emergencies and urgent resident needs with sound judgment and care.
What We're Looking For
+ Associate's degree in a Human Services-related field (required)
+ 3 years of experience working with individuals in human services, DOH Experience highly preferred
+ Supervisory experience (6 months required; 3 years preferred)
+ Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
+ Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing
+ Ability to meet physical requirements of the role: Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily, may push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally, drive agency vehicle
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, with on-call coverage.
