DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Senior Project Manager serves as the lead coordinator and execution leader for major strategic and operational projects within Airlift Northwest (ALNW). This role oversees planning, implementation, and delivery of initiatives that advance ALNW’s mission to provide world-class air medical transport throughout Washington, Alaska, and the greater Pacific Northwest.
Projects span facilities development, technology upgrades, operational optimization, and strategic initiatives identified by the ALNW Executive Leadership Team. The Senior Project Manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational priorities—serving as the central point of coordination for internal and external stakeholders.
Example projects include:
+ Bellingham Crew Quarters replacement
+ Wenatchee Hangar development (liaison role with external PMs)
+ Electronic Medical Record evaluation and replacement/upgrade
+ Charting laptop replacement
+ Aircraft inventory optimization
+ Future base development projects
+ Other leadership-directed initiatives
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
+ Lead strategic and operational projects across facilities, technology, and logistics to support air medical transport throughout the Pacific Northwest.
+ Serve as the primary coordinator for internal teams and external partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with ALNW’s mission.
+ Manage high-impact initiatives such as base development, EMR upgrades, and aircraft inventory optimization.
+ Standardize project management processes and tools while driving cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, project management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 7+ years of progressive project management experience, including multi-stakeholder initiatives.
+ Proven success leading capital, technology, and operational projects from initiation to completion.
+ Strong facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills with diverse audiences.
+ Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
+ PMP or equivalent certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
OR
An equivalent of education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$120,000.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$157,596.00 annual
