    Position Overview

    As a Manual Machinist at Carr Lane Manufacturing, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other precision machining equipment to produce high-quality components to exact specifications. You will interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations, perform accurate measurements, and verify part conformance using precision inspection tools. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your craftsmanship will directly contribute to delivering reliable, high-quality products to our customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Manual Machining involves setting up the machine, producing standard and special tolerances on components according to drawings and specifications; and using tooling and machine programming. This may include inserting the balls into the ball lock pins.

    + Performing quality checks during manufacturing and assembly. Test the assembled parts or products to ensure they are functioning properly and of good quality as needed.

    + Performing other duties within the department as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + High school diploma, or equivalent.

    + Manual Machine operating experience

    + Ability to follow directions carefully and adhere to deadlines.

    + Work well independently or as part of a team.

    Physical Requirements

    Required:

    + Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Picking, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motions

    + Close visual acuity

    + Subject to noise, hazards, and oils.

    + Lift up to 35 lbs
