Note: (However, needs to travel 10-50% of the time around the Salt Lake Valley area for court hearings & trials). Some hearings can be done through video meeting, some don’t.

Job Description

+ We are seeking a Junior Level Attorney licensed to practice in Utah. This role involves representing insureds and the company in defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and financial cases.

Responsibilities:

+ Represent clients in hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.

+ Prepare and argue pre- and post-trial motions.

+ Assist colleagues with resolution of calendar conflicts.

+ Provide counsel to business clients on day-to-day legal issues.

+ Monitor, review, and summarize new laws, regulations, and case law.

+ Collaborate with the Legal & Regulatory department and proactively advise business units on legal impacts.

Requirements:

+ Must be a licensed Utah attorney.

+ Comfortable with occasional in-person meetings (1–2 times per quarter).

+ Strong litigation, arbitration, and negotiation skills.

+ Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday (8 AM – 5 PM; flexible based on court schedules).
