    In this position...

     

    We are seeking an experienced Architecture Management Office (AMO) Leader to join our Industrial System Enterprise Architecture organization. This role is responsible for defining and operationalizing foundational enterprise architecture processes and strategy. Key initiatives include the implementation of a new Enterprise Architecture (EA) tool and the establishment of a streamlined architecture intake process. This position will work closely with other EA leaders, and EA Architecture Management, to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment within our industrial systems EA team and the broader Ford EA Organization.

     

    This is a hybrid opportunity and the AMO Leader will be onsite four days/ week in our PDC. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

    What you'll do…

    + EA Process & Governance: Develop and operationalize core enterprise architecture processes, standards, and guidelines for Industrial Systems EA. Support and facilitate Architecture Review Boards (ARBs)/Tech Councils to ensure architectural consistency. Drive continuous improvement of EA processes and methodologies.

    + EA Tool Implementation: Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of a new Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) tool for IS EA. Define and guide implementation approach for IS EA to serve as a central repository for architectural assets.

    + Architecture Intake: Design and implement a structured architecture intake process to efficiently capture and manage architectural demands.

    + EA Community Engagement: Collaborate with and provide guidance to other EA leaders and architects, fostering architectural excellence and promoting the adoption of established processes and tools.

     

    You'll have...

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

    + 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or a closely related technical role. Skills should include but not be limited to:

    + Proven experience in defining and operationalizing enterprise-wide processes and governance.

    + Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).

    + Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly for interacting with technical and architectural teams.

     

    Even better, you may have...

     

    + Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field

    + Certification in an EA framework (e.g., TOGAF Certified).

    + Experience in industrial systems, manufacturing, or operational technology (OT) environments

    + Prior experience maturing an Architecture Management Office (AMO) or similar EA governance function.

    + Familiarity with Agile methodologies in an EA context.
