    Job Title: Summer 2026 Applications Lab Intern - Construction Materials

     

    Summary:As an Applications Lab Intern, you will support innovation and customer-focused projects by testing and evaluating construction materials such as sealants, coatings, and adhesives. You’ll gain hands-on lab experience, contribute to technical reporting and data analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product performance and lab processes.

    Responsibilities Include:

    + Review performance test data and analyze test results with high attention to detail and accuracy. Record, organize, and file data accordingly.

    + Prepare customer reports based on above and send finished professionally-crafted reports to customer. Record, organize, and file reports accordingly.

    + Request testing quotes from third-party labs, generate purchase orders for 3rd party testing and sample products to third-party labs.

    + Assist in drafting technical reports, test summaries, and data presentations.

    + Participate in project meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, product management, and technical service.

    + Help improve lab workflows, material inventory, and data management processes.

    Qualifications:

    The following are required for the role

     

    + Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or a related field

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

    + Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate and complete documentation.

    + Effective written and verbal communication skills.

    + Basic knowledge of lab safety and chemical handling procedures.

    + Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and data organization tools.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

    + Willingness to learn and take initiative

    Program Qualifications:

    + The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.

    + The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.

     

    What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00
