Multi-Skilled Technician

+ Perform duties in three or more skilled trades (HVAC electrical, plumbing, roofing, carpentry, or masonry)
+ Clear pathways, parking lots, sidewalks and stairs of snow using shovels and/or equipment as assigned. May include off hours scheduling in accordance with BSEIU Local 51 Contract
+ Communicate with Staff and Public Safety via 2-way radio system
+ Receive, complete, and submit work order processing documentation accurately and on time
+ Maintains equipment in clean, usable condition
+ Perform skilled repairs/maintenance independently
+ Other responsibilities as assigned by the Crew Coordinator or Senior Director of Facilities and Planning.
The estimated wage is $25.28 per hour for 40 hours per week for 52 weeks.
Job Requirements:
+ At least 5 years' experience in skilled building repair/maintenance or equivalent
+ Knowledge in at least 3 skilled trades
+ Eighteen months on-the-job training with skilled trades staff and skilled trades endorsement
+ Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
+ Must be able to push and lift and carry objects up to 51 lbs without assistance
+ Must be able to work from heights, including ladders and mechanical lifting devices
+ Must be able to read instructions and safety rules, write sentences, communicate verbally and follow instructions
+ Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
+ Must be able to walk, stoop, bend, crouch, sit, kneel, climb and crawl
+ Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Valid NYS driver's license is required
