    Compensation

    + $18.00 per hour

    Work Schedule

    + School Year (September – June):

     

    Monday–Friday, shifts between 1:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

     

    + Summer (July – August):

     

    Monday–Friday, shifts between 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

     

    + Hours may vary depending on program needs, events, or holidays.

    Position Overview

    The Group Worker will provide supervision and support for after-school and summer programming at PS330Q. This role involves assisting Group Leaders in implementing enrichment activities such as homework help, arts & crafts, sports, health and fitness, nutrition, dance, and STEM education. The Group Worker will ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for youth participants.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise participants to ensure their health, safety, and well-being.

    + Assist Group Leaders in planning and facilitating program activities.

    + Provide support with homework help, tutoring, and enrichment activities.

    + Maintain program documentation (attendance, sign-in/out sheets, incident reports).

    + Support the collection of participant and parent surveys.

    + Help maintain equipment, supplies, and program space.

    + Actively participate in trainings, meetings, and special events.

    + Report to the Program Director for delegated tasks and guidance.

    Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED required (proof must be provided during hiring).

    + Prior experience in youth development strongly preferred.

    + Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to working with children and families.

    + Ability to work cooperatively with peers and professional staff.

    + Must successfully complete OCFS/PETS background clearance.

    + Must provide a recent medical exam including proof of PPD test at hire.
