• Bilingual Youth Care Worker (Spanish/English)

    KidsPeace Childrens Hospital (Bethlehem, PA)


    The KidsHaven Program, located in Bethlehem, is a shelter and long-term care program for migrant children and adolescents. The program is geared towards helping youth adjust to our customs and culture as they transition to life in our local communities. KidsHaven also offers therapeutic guidance and support to adolescents whom are planning for their futures--all in their native language.

     

    The Bilingual Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing direct supervision, support and direction to children and adolescents in a compassionate and respectful manner. This includes providing an unwavering commitment to the safety of kids and being aware of all ongoing developments and concerns, on a daily basis.

    Requirements:

    + Must be 21 years of age or older.

    + High School graduate or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health or related field preferred.

    + Must have a minimum of 1 year professional experience with children.

    + Valid driver's license preferred.

    + Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.

    + Required ability to converse, write and read in English and Spanish.

    + The candidate must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and a Child Abuse History Clearance which are processed by KidsPeace. The candidate must pass a Physical & Drug Screening & possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all KidsPeace sponsored trainings. EOE

    + Location: Bethlehem, PA Schedule: Full Time 2nd shift - 3PM -11PM, requires weekend

    + Pay: $17.60-$20.50 an hour
