Compensation: $20 - $35/hr, based on experience and licensure.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine Department. In this role, you’ll work closely with board-certified internists, assisting in advanced diagnostics and treatments, providing exceptional care to patients, and delivering an outstanding client experience.

Position Responsibilities:

+ Assist veterinarians during consultations and diagnostic procedures

+ Perform phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and medication administration

+ Handle advanced diagnostic tests (CT Scan, ultrasounds, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, etc.)

+ Prepare and submit laboratory samples

+ Educate clients about treatment plans, medication administration, and at-home care

+ Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using SmartFlow and EzyVet

+ Monitor and care for hospitalized patients under the direction of the internal medicine team

+ Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

+ 2+ years of veterinary technician experience (RVT, CVT, or LVT preferred)

+ Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and internal medicine procedures

+ Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members

+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced specialty hospital environment

+ Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection

+ Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members, and a commitment to exceptional patient care.

+ Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.

+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely.
